All About the Kids
I spent Christmas in Maryland this year. I don't get quite as excited about Christmas anymore. But then again, I hope I was never as excited...or rather annoying...and my cousin (not the one pictured here). But watching them reminds me that Christmas seems to be all about the kids. Adults don't get quite as much out of it, and usually it's more stressful. Although, I noticed that my little cousins seemed rather ungrateful of their gifts--ripping from one to the next without even looking to see what it is that was inside. Heaven forbide it be a clothing box, then they really don't care what it is. I'm kind of glad some people put good stuff inside clothing boxes for them. They didn't even bother opening those once past the paper.
On another note, the Wii can be quite a workout. I played Rayman with Chuck and Zach for a few hours and my arms were quite sore the next day...all that damn swinging my arms trying launch bunnies as far as I could off a mine cart. Insanely good fun though. And now Zach has me hooked on the idea of getting Animal Crossing for Courtney and myself. But it's one of those higher priced games. So getting two copies is a bit expensive. Ah, well...I'll see what happens.

bah...damn materialism. but yeah, i always thought i could get that christmassy feeling back, but i realized that it's not possible. i think it was all from not really having much responsibility...things just happened and it was "magical" with the christmas lights and stuff.
and with rayman, my arms were sore the next day when we played ^_^;
